/* BANGALORE CRAVINGS: THE TYPE SYSTEM. Locked 2026-07-30.
ONE set of faces, four jobs, self-hosted. Imported by BOTH posts and deck slides so the
identity cannot drift between the socials and the presentation.

Chosen off pipeline/FONT-INVENTORY.json (1902 unique faces, 715 families, swept across home,
/mnt/wsl, the Windows partition and /usr/share) and picked by rendering a specimen in BC's own
words rather than by reading font names.

FOUR FACES, ONE JOB EACH. Variety comes from PLACEMENT and SCALE, never from reaching for a
different font per post. A different face per post is what "no system" looks like.

--bc-name ERICA ONE the NAME. Dish names, headlines, the loud word.
Fat, rounded, warm: the vintage enamel-sign and matchbox
register BC's artwork already lives in. Display ONLY, never
below 72px, because its counters close up at small sizes.
--bc-struct BIG SHOULDERS BOLD the STRUCTURE. Sub-heads, labels, deck headings, anything
under 72px that is not someone speaking. Condensed and
industrial: same register, more neutral, reads at any size.
--bc-voice LORA ITALIC the VOICE. Anything a person would SAY: a lyric, a question,
an aside, a review. ALWAYS sentence case, never tracked caps.
--bc-script NOTO SANS KANNADA the SCRIPT. Set at DISPLAY size inside the lockup, never as
                                      a small translation caption underneath.

   WHAT IS DELIBERATELY ABSENT
   - Fraunces and Instrument Serif. The design-slop scanner names them as the two LLM-default
display serifs; they read as AI before they read as brand.
   - Any second display face. Erica One does all the shouting.

THE KANNADA CONSTRAINT, stated because it limits the design and cannot be configured away
Noto Sans Kannada is one of only TWO genuinely designed Kannada families on this box (the other
is its serif). Nirmala UI, FreeSerif, Go Noto Kurrent and LastResort all pass a naive cmap check
and render generic bitmaps or .notdef boxes: that false green is fixed in font-inventory.py.
There is NO expressive Kannada DISPLAY face here, so Kannada currently carries less personality
than the Latin. Acquiring one (Anek Kannada, Baloo Tamma) is a real outstanding task, not a
   setting.

HARD LAW: no Kannada or Devanagari is ever generated, at any size. It is real type, set here,
composited in the layout layer. */

/* THE FIELD COLOURS. RECONCILED 2026-07-30 to research/art-palette.json, which is the dominant
colour MEASURED off each of their six printed dish panels. The first version of this file
carried eyeballed approximations of these, which meant the posts and slide 08 were showing the
client two different palettes for the same six dishes. A quantity that appears in more than one
place gets ONE value, and the measured one wins over the remembered one.
